Competitions and Contests of THE Woodbridge Fall Fair 2019

Welcome! Please browse the Prize Book links below to view details about the various Competitions and Contests taking place this year at our annual Fall Fair.  We welcome you to enter in as many competitions as you please! 

The categories for entering your art, antiques, baked goods, home crafts and more, are separated into each category and can be downloaded as Web Page Prize Books.

Start by choosing the prize book category  you're interested in, and click to download.

Once you have chosen your exhibitor categories, please complete an entry form.

Closing Date/Time for Entry Forms & Submissions
AGRICULTURE Class 55-61 > Friday, October 11, 2019 by 4:00 pm.
FLORICULTURE Class 62 > Friday, October 11, 2019 by 4:00 pm.  
ART Class 63 > Thursday, October 10, 2019 by 3:00 pm.
HIGH SCHOOL ART Class 64 > Thursday, October 10, 2019 by 4:00 pm.
CULINARY ARTS Class 65-69 > Friday, October 11, 2019 by 4:00 pm.  
NEEDLEWORK & CRAFTS Class 70-76 > Thursday, October 10, 2019 by 11:00 am.  
ANTIQUES Class 77 > Thursday, October 10, 2019 by 2:00 pm.  
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ART Class 80 > Friday, October 4, 2019 by 4:00 pm.  
PHOTOGRAPHY Class 90 > Wednesday, October 9, 2019 by 3:00 pm.

Please refer to each section of the prize book for  details. 

*An exhibitor’s fee of $5.00 will be charged to each exhibitor, members and non-members. If you do not have an entry number, one will be supplied to you at the Secretary’s Office.  Your entry number must be written on all exhibit tags along with your name and phone number.

When to bring Exhibits/Entries to the fair
Entries can be submitted to the Fair Secretary daily, from 10 am to 5 pm, beginning on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. 
All entries must sumbited to the Secretary Office by 4:30 pm on Friday October 11, 2019 unless otherwise stated in the prize list*
Please refer to each section of the prize book for instructions on when to deliver and pickup your exhibits.  
Every competition category has specific rules for exhibiting. To ensure your entries are correct, please make sure you read all rules and competition details.
Drop-offs are accepted in the Secretary's Office, at the entrance of 100 Porter Ave.

Pick-Ups
Exhibits can be picked up after 5:00 pm on Monday, October 14, 2019.  Remember to bring your entry tag stubs for proof of ownership.  Volunteers will take 30 minutes to prepare the exhibits for collections.  For the safety of our Patrons, Exhibitors will not be able to drive to Buildings before 5 pm.



FEATURE AGRICULTURAL COMPETITION!
CLASS 61: GREAT PUMPKIN COMMONWEALTH CONTEST
The Woodbridge Fair is proud to be a part of the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth Contest.  The contest is open to all ages exhibiting giant pumpkins, large vegetables and tall stocks, and runs on Saturday only, October 6th, 2018. There are separate entry costs, rules and prize money for this contest.

FEATURE CULINARY ARTS COMPETITION!  
CLASS 65 – SPONSORED SPECIALS:  OAAS BUTTER TART SPECIAL
The winner of section 13 is eligible to compete at the District #5 competition of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies to be held Saturday, October 27, 2018. Winners at the District #5 competition will compete of the Provincial level.  Read the full rules in Culinary Arts.


FEATURE HOME CRAFTS COMPETITION!  
ONTARIO ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL SOCIETIES ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP QUILT COMPETITION
A Provincial Grand Champion Quilt will be selected at the Annual Convention of OAAS.



SPECIAL - OAAS POSTER COMPETITION!
CLASS 64.  CLASS OAAS 1: SENIOR includes Grade 9 to 12
An original hand drawn poster promoting the 2020 Woodbridge Agricultural Fall Fair.
2020 Theme: PIONEER WAYS TO MODERN DAYS - Oct. 10, 11 & 12, 2020
The winning poster becomes the property of the Woodbridge Fair Board and may be used in the Fair’s promotional advertising.  The winning poster will be eligible to enter the district competition. District winner will be eligible to enter at the provincial competition.

SPECIAL - O.A.A.S. POSTER COMPETITION!
An original hand drawn poster promoting the 2020 Woodbridge Agricultural Fall Fair.
2020 Theme: PIONEER WAYS TO MODERN DAYS - Oct. 10, 11 & 12, 2020
CLASS OAAS 2: INTERMEDIATE includes Grade 5 to 8
CLASS OAAS 3: JUNIOR includes youth up to & including Grade 4

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MURAL CONTEST!
A class or a club or a group of interested students are invited to create, plan and paint a mural depicting a Harvest Theme.  These murals will be displayed at Woodbridge Fall Fair on Thanksgiving Weekend 2019.  Prizes awarded for best entries!
